Upgrading Hawkeye Pigeon
Management System
Upgrading Hawkeye V2.5 TO V2.9
!!! VERY IMPORTANT !!!:
Do not install the update until you have completed the following
instructions, else you will lose all your data.
- Ensure that
Hawkeye is not running. This is very important since some databases
might be locked which will lead to failure.
- Make a
Backup of your existing data. Comproware cannot accept
responsibility for any data loss. This is accomplished by running
the Backup Utility that came with your Hawkeye system. Click on the
Windows “Start” button then “Programs”, “Hawkeye” and finally “Hawkeye
Backup”. Just click on the “Start Backup” button to start the
backup process. This will present you with a File Open Dialog.
If you are happy with the location of where the backup file will be saved,
click OK, else browse to your preferred location.
- Once the
Backup has been completed, run the Repair Corrupt Tables Utility that we
have provided with the Hawkeye Loft Management System. Click on the
Windows “Start” button then “Programs”, “Hawkeye” and finally on “Repair
Corrupt Tables”. Click on the “Repair Tables” button to start the
process. You will receive a lot of messages, just click on OK until
the process is complete.
Installing the Update
- Download
the update from our website. Visit http://www.comproware.com/ and Click
on the Downloads link on the left under Main Menu. Do not download
the full installation unless you don’t have Hawkeye installed on your
computer at all. Download the Hawkeye v2.8 Update.

installed in a different location on your system, you my change this path
to reflect the actual Hawkeye path on your system.

installation is completed, run Hawkeye. Do not run any other Hawkeye
application such as Backup or Repair Tables until you have successfully
